Prices and services
How much is balayage at The Source?
$265 to $285 depending on stylist level, with a toner priced from $60 to $99. Every colour service includes a consultation and the Sensory Journey massage.
How much is a haircut in North Beach?
A cut and style is $120 with a Stylist, $146 with a Creative Stylist and $155 with Kim, our Creative Director. Gents cuts are $72 to $82.
What is included in every hair service?
A consultation, the Sensory Journey (a head, neck and shoulder massage with Aveda oils) and a shampoo and conditioner chosen for your hair.
Do you do hair extensions?
Yes. We are a Great Lengths salon offering Keratin Bond and Tape extensions. Every set starts with a consultation.
Do you have regrowth packages?
Yes. Prepay 6 months of regrowth tints for $595 or 12 months for $1,190, about $99 a visit.
What is Blowout Friday?
A $50 wash and blow-dry every Friday. Book online or call.
Colour and care
Can you fix brassy or patchy blonde?
Yes. Colour correction starts with a hair history and strength test, then a realistic step-by-step plan. Book a consultation first.
Do you have ammonia-free colour?
Aveda colour, up to 98% naturally derived and cruelty free. Ammonia-free Aveda colour is available too: just ask at your consultation.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes, 24 hours before colour services.
Is The Source a sustainable salon?
Yes. We are an Aveda Concept salon and a Sustainable Salons member, so our salon waste is recycled.
Bookings
What is the cancellation policy?
Please give 48 hours notice. Later cancellations are charged 30% of the booked services.
My stylist is booked out. What now?
Join the waitlist when you book online and we will let you know if a spot opens up.
